Creating a relaxing outdoor space adjacent to the driveway is often a tricky endeavor. In this project, the screened porch is the perfect visual barrier between the functional parking area and the nice tree-filled surroundings.
Why a screened porch?
This porch acts as a second living and dining room, which has open and sunny views for three-season enjoyment. The reason to screen a porch comes down to when you use the space during the year, how often, and whether or not bugs are a big problem for you. For example, if the space is used for outdoor dining every other night during the summer, for most people, a screened porch is best for air circulation and a barrier for insects. Adding a ceiling fan will go a long way to aid in cooling the porch.
Relaxing at home
Adding a screened porch will provide shade and protection from the weather. A space like this can offer a nice hideaway for reading, private conversations, and romantic dinners. Often, people create an environment that reminds them of their favorite beach vacation home by setting out souvenirs and decorating the wall with photos and prints of summertime trips and waterfront towns.
